Leak concerning a future police intervention on the ZAD

People regularly send us “leaks” or rumors about works or police actions that are supposed to happen on the Zone À Défendre. Some are false, but destabilize the movement and worry the project’s opponents. Lately someone has shared with us a leak that seems too serious to keep quiet.

Supposedly the moving of endangered species (part of the joke that is environmental mitigation) will happen before the end of the year, and the authorities want to get rid of the opposition that lives on the zone. A police provocation early or mid-november is planned to make a pretext for a heavy-handed intervention on the ZAD. The pretext would be that someone had been shooting at cop cars. This information is to take with a grain of salt, but is detailed enough that it seems like it should be taken into consideration.
