This morning, nearly a hundred trucks full of gendarmes mobiles, armored vehicles, and backhoes have returned to the ZAD to continue their destruction. Several living spaces and agricultural projects seem to be directly targeted by the Prefecture today: La Chèvrerie, a beautiful house that was already rebuilt after César in 2013, with its mosaics and earth-and-lime walls; the house at Les Vraies Rouges, one of the oldest habitat groups at the ZAD, self-built of wattle-and-daub and wood, with its collective space covering two stories.

Les Vraies Rouges is also home to the Rouge et Noir gardens, a truck-garden project with greenhouses and a medicinal-herb garden with a drying and processing building.

The Rouge et Noir garden is an emblematic agricultural space that supplies the ZAD’s market and/or struggles, associative projects, and migrants. The Rouge et Noir garden operates via open weekly collective work groups that are an opportunity for a large number of ZAD residents and neighbors to re-learn gardening skills. It is organized with support from the farmers of COPAIN 44. Many people are going to the locale to defend them and are meeting at the Cheveux Blancs camps. Barricades have been built.

The residents of La Chèvrerie, as at other locations, have identified themselves to the Prefecture and AGO-Vinci. The Prefecture does not deny this and yet is preparing to evict them illegally, without an individual eviction procedure, as was done in the other cases.
