This Friday, October 19th, in the evening, a house in the ZAD (Area To Be Defended – “Zone A Défendre” in French), previously emptied of its inhabitants and bricked up by decision-makers, was reopened by the opponents of the airport project.
Press release sent on this occasion:
ZAD / Notre Dame des Landes: Press Release 19th October – 20:00
The airport’s troubles are far from over, the occupations continue.
Despite what was announced by the chief of police, we are always on the ZAD and our numbers are growing. Occupants, farmers, tenants, outsiders, we all feel concerned by these first evictions because the final objective is to evict all of the inhabitants. Therefore, this evening, we want to maintain our desire to re-occupy the area. This house re-oppening foreshadows many others. The re-occupation demonstration, which will be held in the coming weeks, will be the climax of the reinvestment of the lands. The airport’s troubles are far from over, the occupations continue.
