Today, Saturday 14 April 2018, electricity had still not been turned back on and will remain cut off on orders of the Prefecture.

Certain homes outside of the Zone were given generators, but at least one of them stopped working after less than 24 hours.

This means that dozens of people and families have been left in the dark, some without heating and water because pumps needed to draw water cannot operate. Chicks died because of the lack of power to incubators, and food in freezers was lost. Certain locales have no access to water because pumps drawing water from wells can’t be used. We can put you in contact with the persons concerned by these power cuts for their version of events.

We denounce these tactics worthy of those used under military occupation and that impose collective punishment even on people whose only crime is having continued to live in the area. Behind the official discourse claiming that expulsions have ended, in fact all means are being used to force residents of the ZAD to leave and to prevent them from living and organizing.
