For more than two weeks, the resistance of la ZAD of Notre Dame des Landes has been facing the brutal attacks of the French State police forces. The liberation of land started in 2010 against the airport, became a starting point of a beautiful process of confluence and resistance, where thousands build together a space of autonomy beyond the hegemonic oppression of the nation-state system.
As internationalist Commune of Rojava, we want to show our solidarity with those resisting and defending this liberated territory. Thousands of kilometers are in between the autonomous zone in Notre Dame des Landes and the autonomous territories of Rojava, but we know we are part of the same struggle.
We are following with deep interest the developments that are happening, and we wish success in your resistance. They will destroy our houses, they will evict the militante, but they will not be able to break our will and our desire for freedom. Maybe they will win this battle, but they will never win the war. The ZAD in NDDL is an example and an inspiration for the ZADs that will come.
Dear friends resisting under the brutality of the French State, don’t give up! This is just one more battle of the ones that will come, and we need to learn from this experiences and think in our next steps. As you know, our doors will be always open for those who fight for freedom, and we will be glad to welcome all those who want to learn, support and organize the international movements of resistance that will open the way for a better future.
