Following last week’s massacre in Palestine, we made a call-out to join a symbolic action in the ZAD of Notre-Dame-Des-Landes to send a message to our Palestinian friends.

The aim of the action was to symbolise de thousands of people injured from live bullets and the over one hundred death since the beginning of the year, all at the hands of the Israeli State, and which adds them to the long list of victims of zionism.

The demonstration that took place on Monday the 14 May, gathered 35.000 people in Gaza alone, who were protesting against the inauguration of the US embassy in Jerusalem and to commemorate the 70 years of the Nakba. The word Nakba translates as Catastrophe in Arabic and refers to the year 1948, marking the beginning of the colonisation of Palestine by the Israeli State. During this protest, 2771 were injured, of whom 1205 were shot with live ammunition. Out of those injured by bullet, 1050 were hit in the legs, which reconfirms the Israeli army’s strategy to incapacitate a whole generation, and this since 2015.

People who live at the ZAD of NNDL and who are preoccupied by what is happening in the world.
